Jessica Vall becomes a BINDER brand ambassador in Spain

Professional swimmer Jessica Vall will start to promote BINDER’s turbine-driven counter-current systems in Spain as a brand ambassador with immediate effect. Jessica has already won numerous medals. Her next aim is to reach the final of the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

The 32-year-old has not only been the Spanish breaststroke champion over 50, 100 and 200 metres on multiple occasions, she has also won medals in international competitions: Jessica gained bronze medals in breaststroke over 200 metres at the 2014 European Championships in Berlin and at the 2015 World Championships in Kazan in Russia. At the European Short-Course Swimming Championships in 2017 in Copenhagen, she won gold over the same distance.

Jessica has a degree in biology and lives with her husband in Barcelona. She has dedicated herself to swimming entirely for several years. Her major goal: “I want to reach the final at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021.”

We are delighted to have been able to recruit Jessica as a brand ambassador.

The entire BINDER team are crossing their fingers that Jessica’s Olympic dream will come true.

New website: All product worlds at a glance

BINDER has completely redesigned its website. The most striking changes are the distinctive look, the fresh visual language and a magazine section with lots of interesting information about swimming, wellness and leisure. In addition, visitors to the site will now find all BINDER brands under one roof.

The new website merges the previous websites www.binder24.com and www.hydrostar-binder.de into a single brand environment. All important information on the HydroStar and EasyStar counter-current systems and the drives for pool covers can now be accessed with just a few clicks. Alongside hard facts, the website also provides many exciting tips and suggestions for pool and garden. “On the one hand, we want to inform website visitors about our products and, on the other, we want to show them the enormous possibilities offered by our counter-current systems,” says Felix Binder.

The relaunch of the website was conceived and implemented by the Köhler+Partner agency. It forms part of BINDER’s new online strategy, which includes its existing Facebook presence as well as the recently launched activities on Instagram and LinkedIn.

On the social media channels, BINDER will not only feature regular reports from its EasyStar brand ambassador Elena Krawzow, but will also get to grips with current topics and trends.

The BINDER-Magazine on the new website also features exciting articles on the topics of pools, wellness and leisure.

Expansion of the warehouse and production halls

Expansion of the warehouse and production halls

In September, the BINDER family invited participants to attend the roofing ceremony. The new 300 square metre warehouse and production hall was erected in a short time. The new premises were urgently needed to cope with increased demand.

The new hall was inaugurated before a circle of employees, tradespeople, friends, press and politicians. Due to the close ties to his hometown Hamelin, Siegfried Binder said in his welcome address that almost exclusively Hamelin-based companies had been commissioned.

Lord Mayor Claudio Griese is delighted with the company’s history and emphasises how important the company is for Hamelin’s economy. The now more than 60 employees show that Siegfried Binder was onto a good thing back then with business idea to develop turbine-powered countercurrent systems.

Since the sales figures for the counterflow systems are continuing to grow, the sky’s the limit, explains Siegfried Binder. “We plan to acquire a new plot of land in the Hamelin industrial area in two to three years, where we can build completely new facilities to fully optimise our production and development possibilities.”

That was aquanale 2019

With 28,000 visitors from 128 countries, the aquanale 2019 was a complete success! Together with the increase in the number of visitors, the reorganisation of the range of topics and the increased internationality underscored its importance for the international swimming pool and wellness industry.

For the first time, we deliberately presented our entire product portfolio to the numerous visitors and customers at this trade fair and received a lot of positive feedback. Over an even bigger area than in previous years, this time we presented our MecaTec brand alongside our HydroStar and EasyStar counter-current systems.

Our trade fair pool, where different athletes swam against our HydroStar every hour on the hour, was still the highlight. Elena Krawzow, swimming world champion and EasyStar brand ambassador, was also there for a whole day. She was available for talks and interviews and impressively showed how useful and effective training with our counter-current systems is for professional swimmers as well.

World record attempt with HydroStar

On 14 and 15 July 2018, a team of German free-swimming champions, Olympic participants and the 12-time world champion and three-time Olympian Thomas Lurz, undertook a world record attempt against the Hydrostar in the BINDER trade fair pool.

The team was put together by Stefan Lurz, German national trainer for free swimmers.

The idea to swim the 51 km long ferry route from Gedser (DK) to Rostock (DE) against the Hydrostar in the BINDER pool in less than 10 hours turned out successfully for the elite swimming team.

Binder offers its warmest congratulations on this success.

The world record attempt was held as a charity relay to benefit Kinderhilfe Organtransplantation (children’s aid for organ transplants). It was organised by SVW05 (Würzburg swim club) and Fitness Club SVW05 under the direction of Rainer Griebl.

German Brand Award 2018

The German Design Council has been presenting the German Brand Award, the industry prize for brand strategy, in more than 60 categories since 2016. Few would argue when we say that brands hold meaning and power. Their importance is growing immensely with increasing digitalisation.

In June 2018, the jury presented BINDER with the “Industry Excellence in Branding” award in the Sports category at the German Historical Museum in Berlin. This award is given to the best product and company brands in a particular industry.

“We are very proud to have received this award and are constantly working on expanding our successful brand strategy,” explains Siegfried Binder, owner and Managing Director of BINDER GmbH & Co KG.

Golden Wave for HydroStar counter-current system

In March 2017 SCHWIMMBAD + SAUNA awarded the Golden Waves in the historic Ludwigsburg Music Hall. A total of 24 awards were presented in eight categories. All winners were duly hailed by the approximately 100 guests.

In the run-up, five jurors per category selected three winners from almost 100 entries. The jury consisted of Peter Lang from the publishers Fachschriften-Verlag and four well-known swimming pool builders.

BINDER was honoured in the “Pool Attractions” category along with two other companies. Thanks to its patented turbine technology, the swimming sensation of BINDER counter-current systems is unique and impresses with its broad, powerful but natural current. The jury honoured this unique technology with the Golden Wave award, which Siegfried Binder sees as “an award for all my employees”.

Artificial flow with HydroStar

Artificial flow with HydroStar

Team Binder, represented by Philippe Stock and Felix Binder, was in the south of France this week to confirm the suitability of the HydroStar turbine for an artificial river.

We have long been convinced that the HydroStar counterflow system is not just the right choice for private pools. We were now able to convincingly and impressively demonstrate this. It was possible to replace three conventional pumps with only two HydroStar turbines (together about 3000 Watt).

The main reason for using HydroStar turbines for artificial rivers is their cost-effectiveness. They can already save a lot of money during the construction phase, because they remove the need for a drying room for the pumps and complex piping. HydroStar boasts a significantly more energy-efficient operation. This quickly pays for itself in continuous use.
